You don’t just get told you missed one. You get the job type, the postcode, the specifics and a picture, so you can price a lot of it without getting in the van. That’s an hour back on every job it saves.
Your number never changes
The number on your van, your cards and your Google listing stays exactly as it is. It runs on call forwarding that’s already built into your phone line. On a mobile, three codes typed into your handset and it’s on, one code and it’s off. On a landline, it’s a setting with your provider.

Straight answers

Do I have to get a new number?
No. Yours stays exactly as it is. That’s the whole point. The forwarding sits behind it and only fires when you don’t pick up.
I ring people back anyway.
Course you do. But you’re ringing back at six and they rang at eleven. This puts something in their hand at 11:00, while they’re still deciding who’s coming out.
I’ve already got voicemail.
When did you last leave one for a stranger? And this replaces it anyway, because voicemail runs on the same diverts, so you can’t have both.
What if I want it switched off?
On a mobile it’s one code, five seconds, on your own handset. On a landline it’s the same setting you switched it on with. I’ll send you the exact steps at setup. You don’t need to ring me first and you don’t need my permission.
Does it book jobs or send quotes?
No, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. It buys you an hour before they ring the next name, and it gives you enough to price from. That’s the job it does.
Does it catch every call?
No, and there’s no point pretending. Someone withholding their number can’t be texted back, because there’s nothing to send to. Landline callers hear your greeting but won’t get a text. Everything else, yes.
Will my family get this every time they ring?
Not if you tell me who they are. Family, your foreman, the merchant: give me the numbers at setup and those calls never get a text. They’ll still hear your eight seconds, because by then the call has already left your handset. But no link, no form, and nothing that reads like a business asking your dad what job he’s ringing about.
Who am I actually dealing with?
Me. I built it, I set it up, and if it breaks you ring me. There’s no support desk, which cuts both ways, but you’ll always get a person.
What happens to my customers’ details?
Jobs and photos are stored on UK-region servers, with photos behind links that expire after an hour. Nothing is sold, shared or used to market to your customers, and I’ll delete any of it the day you ask me to.
